Sudesh Bopitiya is a highly experienced and qualified Solicitor with over 20 years of practice in Criminal and Family Law in England and Wales. He is one of the partners at the firm and has built a strong reputation for his expertise and commitment across a wide range of complex legal matters. Sudesh combines deep procedural knowledge with a strategic, client-focused approach.

Sudesh is accredited as a specialist family lawyer by Resolution – First for Family Law, reflecting his in-depth knowledge and skill in handling all aspects of family law. Over the past two decades, he has successfully advised and represented clients in matters including:

  • Matrimonial proceedings, such as divorce, financial remedies, and non-molestation orders
  • Private children law matters, including child arrangement orders, specific issue orders, and prohibited steps orders
  • Public children law matters, including care proceedings and emergency protection orders – some cases involving serious allegations of child abuse
  • Child abduction cases heard before the High Court

In addition to his family law practice, Sudesh has an extensive background in criminal law. He has represented clients at all levels of the criminal justice system, including police stations, Magistrates’ Courts, Crown Courts, and the Court of Appeal. His caseload has encompassed a broad spectrum of serious and complex offences, such as:

  • Offences under the Terrorism Act
  • Murder (including gang-related homicide)
  • Serious fraud, including VAT and tax fraud

Sudesh also has extensive experience in immigration law. He has dealt with a wide range of matters, from initial visa and immigration applications to complex appeals before the Immigration Tribunals and the High Court. He previously held Law Society accreditation as a Senior Caseworker and Supervisor in Immigration Law.
